My artistry is inseparable from who I am as a human being. As an indigenous woman (Choctaw), I move through the world with an awareness of the systems of power that shape our lives. I am committed to seeing the world truthfully and finding our role in changing it. My work is driven by a deep curiosity about how we, as humans, can be better for one another. How do we break our echo chambers? How do we step outside the narrow realities we’ve inherited? For me, it’s theatre. Storytelling creates space for conversations about what it means to inhabit lives beyond our own. It challenges the broader Western narratives we’ve grown comfortable with and invites audiences to consider new perspectives. Through my work, I strive to offer hope. I approach projects with humility, not only as an actor but as a person. To be able to fully transform into a character while still being rooted in their own humanity and being fully present in their circumstances— this is my work. It is my grand attempt to use acting and theater as a tool for empathy, accountability, and pursuing a future filled with hope.
